C2-2250 Video Switcher/Scaler PLUS

is designed to provide high scaling to analog or DVI computer and HDTV signals. The unit supports either NTSC or PAL video standards. It includes (2) Composite video, (2) S-Video, and (1) YUV Component or YPbPr video inputs. Scaling permits computer input signals to be scaled with the same flexibility as the video inputs. Output resolution is selectable up to 2048 x 2048 for computers and 1080p for HDTV. Stereo audio switching is provided by an integral 4x1 audio routing switcher with (4) impedance-independent unbalanced inputs that follow the video input selection. This model also features such special features as chromakey mode, lumakey mode, mix mode, and picture-in-picture viewing.
This unit features a unique "AutoSet" feature that virtually automates the setup process by sizing and positioning the computer image to fit exactly on the video screen. An additional benefit is that all of these settings are stored in non-volatile memory and retained even when the power is switched off. The unit offers a number of control options, including a front, push-button panel, an infrared remote control unit, and via RS-232 or IP connection. A Windows-based control panel is provided and most third-party control systems will interface directly with the unit. Moreover, a front LCD panel facilitates management of the unit.

This converter features the CORIO2 video-processing engine, a proprietary technology from TV One. While most manufacturers use third-party chipsets to provide video conversion, TV One has developed its own solution to extend the functionality and life of its products. Products based on third-party chipsets have frozen features sets, but the CORIO2 is entirely firmware-based and can be upgraded at any time by downloading the latest firmware version from the web site and flash upgrading the unit in the field. Additionally, all of the models in this series allow for input expansion by use of an appropriate S2 Series Input Switcher.
